About Ab EngInnS
We make sustainable, renewable low-carbon products from organic waste, avoiding the use of fossil resources. Our products are bioplastics (PHAs, polyhydroxyalkanoates), organic chemicals (e.g. organic acids, alcohols, hydrocarbons) and hydrogen. We reduce CO2 emissions by up to more than 90% compared to the same products from fossil resources.
Our bioplastics are suitable for packaging, are biodegradable and easily recyclable. We can use any types of organic waste, e.g. food waste, manure, or wastewaters, producing a clean effluent and reducing environmental pollution. Our products can be provided at any required purity and according to the customer requirements.

A net zero society
Our products contribute to a more sustainable chemical industry and to a net zero society. Because of their much lower environmental footprint, our products are more attractive to customers and to end users and provide a marketing advantage

Our Team
Our team is based at University of Aberdeen, School of Engineering, and together we have over 50 years of research experience in chemical engineering innovation.
